Surge, Sequoia Capital India's accelerator program, has yet again brought together an outstanding group of 30 founders across 12 companies for its eighth cohort. These startups are at the forefront of developing innovative and futuristic products across various sectors, including climate tech, AI, metaverse, digital health, new consumer brands, and e-commerce.
Among the 12 startups that made it to the eighth cohort, Arintra, AltWorld, Bifrost, Calyx Global, Diri Care, Masterchow, Metastable Materials, RedBrick AI, Requestly, Tentang Anak, Vaaree, and Meragi are already making waves with their unique ideas and solutions.
Surge, which was launched in 2019, aims to help startups raise capital and boost their growth prospects. The program offers up to $1-$3 million in pre-seed and seed rounds for early-stage startups, thereby providing them with a much-needed financial boost to take their ideas to the next level.
Since its inception, Surge has created a vibrant community of more than 300 founders and 130 startups across 16 industries. The accelerator program is currently in progress, with the founders going through a 16-week hybrid program focused on company building.
The program features a diverse range of speakers and mentors who share their valuable insights and experiences to help the startups grow and succeed. Some of the past speakers and mentors include industry leaders such as Sanjeev Bikchandani, Girish Mathrubootham, Kunal Shah, Amrish Rau, and Vijay Shekhar Sharma, among others.
With Surge, Sequoia Capital India has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting and nurturing innovative startups that are poised to make a positive impact on society. The future looks bright for these startups, and we can't wait to see what they will achieve in the coming years.
