Thinkerbell Labs made a significant deal with an American company worth around 12 to 13 crore. As part of the deal, they will deliver about 700 Annies annually to the USA under the name Polly. The company's valuation is 60 crore, and the price of one Annie is 70,000 rupees to distributors.
With 5 crore in total revenue, Thinkerbell Labs is on track to meet their next year revenue target of 20 crore. Journey on Shark Tanks India
The startup appeared on the popular investment show Shark Tank to secure funding for their business. The owners initially asked for 30 lakhs for 0.5% equity, but they received counter offers from the sharks.
Anupam Mittal offered 30 lakhs for 2% equity, which he later changed to 30 lakhs for 1% equity. Peyush offered 1cr for 5% equity or 30 lakhs for 1% equity. Namita initially offered 30 lakhs for 1% equity, but later counter offered with 30 lakhs for 0.75% equity.
The owners of Thinkerbell Labs gave a counter offer of 1cr for 2.5% equity to include all four sharks on board. However, Anupam, Peyush, and Namita countered with an offer of 1.05cr for 3% equity. Shark Ashneer stepped back from the negotiations.
Ultimately, Thinkerbell Labs accepted the offer from Anupam, Peyush, and Namita for 1.05cr in exchange for 3% equity in the company. This funding will allow Thinkerbell Labs to continue developing their innovative educational tools for the visually-impaired and expand their reach to more people in need.
