Keep Your Fleet Safe with RoadBounce's Real-time Road Condition Data

RoadBounce is a startup company founded by Ranjeet Deshmukh that is focused on addressing the issue of bad roads that are full of potholes, bumps, and cracks. The company has developed technology that can measure the metrics of these roads, which is then used to generate real-time information for its users.

One of the key features of RoadBounce is its app, which users can download and use while traveling on bad roads. The app collects data on the condition of the road, which is then used to generate live-time information for other users. For example, if an ambulance is trying to reach a patient in an area with bad roads, RoadBounce can provide live feeds to help guide the ambulance to its destination more quickly and safely.

AIM

The aim of RoadBounce is to address the issue of bad roads that are full of potholes, bumps, and cracks. The company's technology measures the metrics of these roads, which is then used to generate real-time information for its users. The ultimate goal of RoadBounce is to improve road safety and reduce the negative impact that bad roads can have on vehicles, passengers, and communities.

By providing real-time data on road conditions, RoadBounce aims to help government agencies and private companies prioritize road repairs and maintenance. This can lead to safer roads, smoother rides, and reduced vehicle wear and tear. Additionally, the company's live feeds can be used to assist emergency services in reaching their destinations more quickly and safely.

RoadBounce's approach is innovative and forward-thinking. Rather than simply reacting to road damage after it has occurred, the company aims to proactively monitor road conditions and provide real-time information to help prevent accidents and damage to vehicles. Ultimately, RoadBounce's aim is to revolutionize the way we think about road maintenance and safety, leading to better outcomes for everyone who uses our roads.

BUSINESS MODEL

The business model of RoadBounce is based on providing services to other companies and organizations that need real-time data on road conditions. This includes government agencies responsible for road maintenance, private companies that operate fleets of vehicles, and other organizations that require up-to-date information on road conditions.

RoadBounce collects data on road conditions through its app, which users can download and use while traveling on bad roads. The app collects data on the condition of the road, which is then used to generate live-time information for other users. This information can also be sold to other companies and organizations that need it, providing a source of revenue for RoadBounce.

The company's primary revenue stream comes from service contracts with government agencies and private companies. These contracts provide a steady stream of income for RoadBounce, which can be used to fund further development of its technology and expand its services.

In addition to providing real-time data on road conditions, RoadBounce also offers consulting services to help its clients optimize their road maintenance and repair strategies. By analyzing data on road conditions and usage patterns, RoadBounce can help its clients identify areas that require the most attention and prioritize repairs and maintenance accordingly.

TARGET MARKET

The target market of RoadBounce is diverse and includes government agencies responsible for road maintenance, private companies that operate fleets of vehicles, and other organizations that require up-to-date information on road conditions.

Government agencies responsible for road maintenance are a key target market for RoadBounce. These agencies need accurate data on road conditions in order to prioritize repairs and maintenance. By providing real-time data on road conditions, RoadBounce can help these agencies make more informed decisions about where to allocate resources and improve overall road safety.

Private companies that operate fleets of vehicles are also a target market for RoadBounce. These companies need to optimize their routes and avoid roads that are in poor condition in order to reduce vehicle wear and tear and ensure the safety of their drivers. By providing real-time data on road conditions, RoadBounce can help these companies make more informed decisions about which routes to take.

In addition to government agencies and private companies, other organizations that require up-to-date information on road conditions are also a target market for RoadBounce. For example, emergency services such as ambulances and fire trucks need to be able to navigate roads quickly and safely, and RoadBounce's live feeds can be used to provide real-time information that can help them do so.

SALES AND REVENUE

In the financial year 2019-20, the company generated revenue of Rs.1.50 crore rupees. This increased to revenue of about Rs. 30 lakhs in the year 2020-21. The projected revenue for the current year (2021-22) is Rs. 2.50 crore rupees.

These figures indicate that RoadBounce is experiencing steady growth and is on track to achieve its projected revenue for the current year. While the revenue generated in the last financial year was lower than the previous year, it is important to note that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on many businesses, and it is possible that this may have contributed to the lower revenue figure.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, RoadBounce's gross profit and sales have remained strong, with a valuation of 8 crore rupees. As the company continues to expand its services and build relationships with its target market, it is likely that its revenue and profitability will continue to grow.

FUNDING IN SHARK TANKS INDIA

The pitcher of RoadBounce approached the Sharks in Shark Tanks India with an ask for 80 lakhs rupees for 10% equity in the company. However, after hearing the pitch and evaluating the company, Sharks Aman Gupta, Namita, Ashneer and Anupam backed off.

Peyush, one of the Sharks, made a counter offer for Rs. 80 lakhs in return for 20% equity in the company. After some negotiation, the final offer was made for 80 lakhs rupees in return for 20% equity in the company.

This indicates that RoadBounce was successful in securing funding through Shark Tanks India, with Peyush investing in the company in exchange for a 20% equity stake. This funding will likely be used to support the company's growth and expansion, helping it to achieve its projected revenue goals and further establish itself as a leader in the road safety technology industry.
